Shipping Wars

Post by D Rush »

I just saw a commercial for a new A&E series called "Shipping Wars"
I believe the commercial includes a Cape Dory named "Garrett" (?)
It maybe a CD28.
Anyone know about this show? Am I wrong about the CD28?

New Show

Post by Oswego John »

Hi Denis,

I can't comment on the coming new show.

About four years or so ago, just a guess, I used to communicate with a person that I met on the CD forum whose first name was Garrette. (sp)

If I remember correctly he lived in one of the Gulf Coastal states, maybe Alabama or Louisiana. Much of our discussion was based on his rebuilding a CD, possibly a CD 28.

I cannot come up with names, but there are other readers of this forum who also know of Garrette. One in particular who comes to mind is a fellow sailor who lives on the Gulf coast in Florida, who has mentioned Garrette several times.

Sorry that I can't add any more to your post.

Denis,

I just found some additional info that might help. I went to "Search" function and typed in "Garrette". Enter this in Keyword, not Author. There were 50 posts.

The person that I had corresponded with is Garrette Dylewski. From what I read, he was rebuilding a CD 25. Sometimes, he signs in with "GSD46".

I hope that this is some help.
