CD22 berth dimensions
Can anyone give me some measurements on the 2 quarter berths and the v-berth on the CD22? Length and width? My last experience was with the Typhoon which was a tight squeeze for my 6'1" length. She's a great little sailer but I'm worried about the sleeping space.

I'm nearly 6' and have no problem stetching out in the v-berth. As a matter of fact, when the access cover for the head is in place, it's good sized space - nearly 7' wide. The quarter berths are over 6' long and probably 2' wide. I'll take some measurements today when I get home and post them tomorrow.

Sleeping on CD22
I have found the V berth the best place to sleep. I get a good night's rest there.
The quarter berths are too narrow in my opinion.
The solution is to make an insert that spans from the port berth to the starboard berth and have some cushions made for the insert.
(so you will be sleeping crosswise instead of lengthwise.)
I did this on a former boat and it worked great.
If you are planning to make new cushions make each quarter berth cushion with two pieces instead of one. The after piece of each should be cut to fit the insert.
This will make a large and comfortable bed, but not suitable for a seaway.
Good Luck

Got the tape measure out and took the following:
V-berth - Bulkhead opening (aft) to chain locker bulkhead center (forward) - 72"
V-berth - diagonal (port and starboard bulkhead centers to center of chain locker bulkhead) -74"
V-berth - Width at bulkhead (aft) - 72" Width at chain locker bulkhead (forward) - 14"
Quarter berths - Forward locker to bulkhead aft of berth - 74"
Quarter berths - Width (at forward locker) - 24" Width (aft) - 20"
Hull is lined with 1/4"X 2" ash strips in berth areas -very nice!

I think this is what Gary was referring to in his post.
The additional center cushion is about 24"X48" and sits on three removable 1/2" ply panels set on teak rails. The ladder was removed and one panel is left in place as a companionway step, just ahead of the cooler.
not the best photo, but...
