I'm wondering if it's possible or advisable to somehow try to refurbish the heat exchanger on my 24 hp Universal diesel. It seems to me that crud might build up on the sidewalls of the tubes that carry raw water through the system. Maybe a little acid bath? Anybody out there know?

Take the core to a radiator shop and have them dip it. Also have them pressure check it for any leaks.
