I had a broken pull-stop pin on the old traveler, and I wanted a traveler I could adjust easily - just what Cape Dory boats should have had to begin with, not the useless one that came from the factory. I also wanted to use the original traveler arch.... so with considerable effort I took off the old traveler arch, track and mechanics and shipped the whole thing to Garhauer in California. It took them two months, but Guido finally got it shipped back to me. I have not been sailing with it yet, but it sure looks cool. Here are before and after photos. I now have to have two holes cut into my dodger for the traveler car control lines. Garhauer charged me a total of $410 for the gear, removing the old track and mounting a new track and shipping. I thought it a great deal.
