Recent heavy rain has revealed a leak in the companionway causing water to drip on to the stove area. To reseal the companionway I have to remove the front part of the hatch which is held in place by a dozen screws. It looks like an easy job. Does anyone have any advice on resealing this area?

When I took delivery of Rhapsody, she too leaked in this manner. I just cleaned out the "gap" between the teak and the glass, and re-bedded with a fine line of life caulk..... In order to ensure I had the entire companionway, I had to remove and re-bed the seahood as well....No leaks in three years....
Hope this helps
