The theme of the New York Times crossword puzzle today is the abovementioned special celebration. Some of the entries include "Talk Like A Pirate Day", "Davy Jones' Locker", "Shiver Me Timbers", and a smattering of short entries like "Arrr", "Avast", "Ahoy", and "Booty" (loved that one). My favorite pirate-speak sound bite, "Whar's Me Grog?", didn't make an appearance.
