In need of an alternator for this small diesel that was retrofit into my 1973 CD25. Westerbeke wants $1400 if they can find one. Anyone have any information as to where I might be able to get one perhaps rebuilt?

Get it rebuilt. Yankee Automotive Electric in Hyannis probably can do it and is not too far from you.
