I have been planning to replace some of the deck core on my boat this fall for a while now. I have been sort of dreading dealing with the problems of late October weather and having to find a way to button the project up each week when I am at work.
Recently, I started thinking that it might be a lot nicer to pay someone else to do it right and in inside storage. My current yard is not setup for the project and doesn't have anyone to complete it. Has anyone had deck core or significant fiberglass work done at a yard they would recommend? The yard needs to be between Boston and Newburyport (the boat is in Gloucester) so that it isn't too far of a commute and so that I can easily get the boat there in mid October. Thanks.

North shore boat yards
I store my boat at Manchester Marine just down the coast from you, and have had work carried out by them (engine removed/ overhauled, stern tube replaced/rebuilt, pss seal, new engine mounts, etc ) Their work has been of a good standard . They probably are one of the more expensive yards around, last I looked it was about $90 an hour. The upside is that they are well organized, carry out the work competently without fuss and can be trusted. This cannot always be said of some places.

Another North Shore yard is Dion's in Salem. I haven't had fiberglass work done by them but have had other work and found them to be very capable. They are a full service facility with inside workspace as well.
I have had fiberglass work done by Dennis Doucette of Ipswich who was very capable and reasonably priced. I don't think he has a storage facility but may know of some way to arrange it.
