Does anyone have any experience, suggestions, etc., on the installation of an inboard electric engine and related hardware in a Typhoon? I suppose the type of motor and batteries used in an electric launch could be used, and the rudder would need to be modified to accept the prop cut-out. If feasible, electric power would seem ideal for those with limited power requirements. Marvin

There is currently a lively discussion on this subject in progress on the Compac website. Several people have run tests with various set-ups on the Compac 19 which should be useful reference for your boat. To subscribe, send e-mail to dabed@erols.com with the word subscribe in the subject line.
Darrel, who runs the group, publishes to subscribers a "digest" of recent messages on a regular basis so you could get caught up.
BTW Bob Burgess, the auther of the "Trailer Sailing Handbook" is a regular contributor.
