cape dory 14 project
I'm attempting to restore a Cape Dory 14. I think I can handle the glass and woodwork but have no idea where to find a centerboard, rudder, tiller mast and sail. Any suggestions?

Kathy, sorry to see a first post go unanswered. Part of the reason may be that you posted in the for sale section rather than the general forum that more people follow.
You have a whole bunch of stuff to gather together to get your boat sailing. Some of this you could make up, some you may be able to find used and some of it is going to cost you.
The best approach might be to find a complete CD14 near enough to you that you could go take a look and get measurements and even trace the rudder and centerboard.
The rudder is a simple 1/2" plywood cutout with an ash tiller that is rather nice. The centerboard is a plain sheet of 1/4" mild steel with a couple of pins welded to it for the raising and lowering wheels. All the spar sections are round and are available from Dwyer Mast in CT and probably a bunch of other sources. The sail you might need to have made or if you are handy with a machine and have the time, Sailrite has a kit available.
First see if you can cut and paste this over to the main forum and best of luck to you. I might also add that the CD-14 Is a very sweet rowing boat with a pair of 7&1/2' Shaw and Tenny sweeps, Steve.
