A horrendous wind ripped through Easport April 17 toppling "Duet" off her stands destroying a spreader and the mast at the hinge and inflicting mortal damage to the rolller furler. Her former owner had just sold her and her new owner was due to sail her away to Nova Scotia just a few days after the disaster. I've not yet looked at Duet- her hull only suffered minor scruffing- but the assumption is that a replacement mast must be found. The furler is another chapter. But for a mast, where to look?

For new, Rig-Rite (www.rigrite.com) can supply the original mast extrusion. They are not cheap and they are idiosyncratic in their customer communications. Basically, the only way they communicate is by fax. It's odd, but it works.
