ladder for typhoon

Post by Bruce Hettleman »

Thanks to all for this site. I just put my "new" typhoon weekender in the water after an interesting trip stopping at the triad trailer shop on my way to New York where the boat was being sold. Mast is up, etc and nothing too surprising has happened yet. We need to put a ladder on this bad boy. Any suggestions.
Thanks,
Bruce

Bruce,
We are still happy with the rope/rigid tread ladder we have had for years. Hangs at just the right height from a halyard cleat or winch. Boarding problem of the rungs going under the hull was eliminated when we learned to step on the lowest rung first while grabbing a handhold low rather than high causing the ladder to become vertical before climbing higher. Storage is a cinch as we let it drip dry and store it in the poly bag it came in.
