Has anyone upgraded the original traveller with something different? If so, I'd like to hear from you.

Re: CD25 Traveller
I was unable to trim the main under load with the original traveller, so I ordered one from Schaefer Marine. It has performed well and allows me to spill air out of the main momentarily during puffs without having to release the sheet. I chose to not mount it in the original location. Instead, it is thru bolted, with backing, to the port and starboard seat tops just forward of the original location. This may not work for you, but I don't have cushions and don't miss the lost couple inches. I did gain a better lead for the sheet to the boom bale and a bit better access to the engine well. To each his own, but I heartily recommend an adjustable traveller wherever you put it. s/v LINDA LOU #469David Hodos wrote: Has anyone upgraded the original traveller with something different?
