Two issues of past MASTHEADs....
If you're looking for "apps for sailors", go through your old issues of the MASTHEAD. The Jan/Feb 2010 issue of the MASTHEAD contained a list of some neat apps for the Apple iPhone and the May/June 2010 issue had a list of some funky apps for Windows smartphones. Check'em out.
grib for androids
hi there,
i saw an application called mobilegrib on the android market.
Finally a working GRIB weather forecast on an Android App. The good thing compared to passageweather, is that it's an app and not a webbased service, which basically permits you do all the download at home and bring with you the offline GRIB aboard to later consult them. If you want to re-fetch from aboard, of course the option is there...
check out their homepage for screenshots, demo videos, infos, etc.
