I am the happy new owner of S/V INVICTUS. Thank you, Jeff Sturm.
A couple of years ago, I sold my CD28, SISU to a lucky fellow in Traverse City. Last summer a CD10 was purchased. Nice, but the chocolate lab, Tack, made it very clear that things were NOT the same. I had to agree.
S/V INVICTUS is now in my driveway. As soon as it stops raining and snowing (gotta love Michigan) I will be getting her ready for launch.
Again, I will be precisely following the John Vigor de-naming/re-naming protocol. Previously, the gods have seemed to be pleased. That may have something to do with the fact that alcohol is involved. Not sure, but just say'n.
Her new name will be MEANDER, because that pretty much describes my sailing style. She will be berthed at Eldean Shipyard, in Macatawa (Holland), Michigan.
I also renewed my CDSOA membership today!

Doug,

Nice to hear that you are back. Maybe I'll get a chance to see you on the water this summer. No solid cruise plans set yet.

Hi Doug,
Great to hear you're back in business with another beautiful Cape Dory! Sure hope to see you out there on the water sometime or maybe I'll just pop down to Eldean. Happy Sailing!
