Probably the lovely sweep of the sheer as I'm rowing away from her on the mooring! Nice to have a well proportioned seagoing S/V with traditional lines :)

Of course the diesel, the new roller furler, the dodger, etc.etc. all are in the running!!!!!!

CD Typhoon - 900 Lbs on the keel. I beat my baby hard and have managed to lay her down repeatedly. I go out when the flags come out and everyone else heads for cover. I'm stressing my deck plates but ... I bought her to sail tough and hard ... I miss the family Yankee 2 Sloop racer (32' x 3000 Lbs) but I've never been happier with a boat's gung-ho spirit

Considering only gear now, not crew, there are two pieces of gear that have opened our sailing horizons a lot. Radar has made a world of difference to us. It allows us to sail at night or in fog without as much reservation as we formerly had.
Secondly, our wood burning stove. This little doodad allows us to extend the season so that we are sailing in early April, and continue until November.

These pieces of gear have opened up a huge window of fun sailing for us over what we normally would have had, and increased our possible range covered over the weekends.

Cheers!
