Someone has gotten a beauty.
RESPITE 1987, CD330 is in the hands of her new owner. She will be leaving the Chesapeake in a few weeks for her new home, further north.
Congratulations Mal.

Modifications in the works?
Mitch, Will the new owner of Respite be following your advice and will he be replacing the teak toe rails with perforated aluminum?

Re: Modifications in the works?
While we haven't discussed the issue, he seems more traditionally oriented. Besides the slotted toe rails were a CD36 project.Bob Ohler wrote:Mitch, Will the new owner of Respite be following your advice and will he be replacing the teak toe rails with perforated aluminum?
RESPITE is due to be launched in a few hours. I have promised to assist the new owner, who is unfamiliar with the local waters.

Indeed.....
.... I have a beauty.
Thank you, Mitchell, for all your assistance. I'm looking forward to the sail north just as soon as schedule and winds permit.
There won't be any major changes made to her this season, with the exception of adding electronics. And I am indeed a bit of a traditionalist at heart, but I do also appreciate functionality, so who knows about that toe-rail mod.
See you soon, Mitchell, Susan and Respite.

Looking forward to seeing another Cape Dory at Gateway. Best of luck,

So Mitch, I see you say
that the slotted toe rails WERE a CD 36 project, not ARE. Don't tell me this is no longer on your list. Did you lose access to the toe rails?

Selling your CD28?
I have been asked if you are planning to sell your 28. There may be an interested third party.Queen Elvis wrote:.... I have a beauty.
