Marine Surveyor in New Jersey

Post by Sea Hunt »

I am looking for a marine surveyor in the New Jersey area, preferably along the coast. My obvious preference would be for a surveyor familiar with Cape Dory sailboats.

Thanks in advance for any and all recommendations.

Robert

I know you'd prefer a surveyor along the coast, but what are the odds of actually finding a marine surveyor near the water?

You might call Norm LeBlanc and ask if he can recommend someone. NJ might be out of his range but I would trust anyone he suggests.

BoatUS has a listing of recommended surveyors somewhere on their web site.

Robert,

Marine surveyor? Diesel mechanic?

Are you saying....?

Could it be.....?

I certainly hope what I'm thinking is so.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed, my eyes, too.

I'm going to keep knocking on wood until my knuckles bleed.

I hope that it all works out, brother.

Woo Hoo :D

I would recommend Richard Lange - Marine Surveyor, 535 Van Note Dr., Brick township, NJ 08723 Cell 732 600 7108

Dick surveyed my CD 27 several yrs. ago. He has surveyed over 5,000 boats in his career. Knows the CD line well.

Walker:

Thanks for the additional name. I will talk with him. Someone else gave me Mr. Lange's name as well.

OJ and Joe M.:

As always thanks for the encouragement, support and good wishes. OJ, in addition to all the standard stuff I also have some friends from many years ago (now "resettled" in NC) performing some special rituals to encourage the sailboat gods to be kind to this poor lonesome sailor who finds himself in between Cape Dory sailboat caretaker status. :D

The search continues; the cause endures. :)

Robert,

To entice those sailboat gods, maybe offer up in sacrifice several of your longnecks of Guinness (empty of course).

I have heard, more than once, that Guinness is the nectar of the gods. :D
