CD22 Wanted

Post by mshopenn »

After weathering last year's financial crisis, I'm again looking for a boat, albeit with slightly lowered ambitions. I'm looking for a CD22, early- mid 80's in good to very good condition, anywhere on the East Coast. I'm more interested in the structural integrity of the boat (hull/deck, sails, rigging) than in gadgets. I'll pay a very good price for a very good boat. Please e-mail me or phone at 206.551.5559. Thanks very much for your help.

It's listed on www.yachtworld thru a broker.

I think this is link to it:

Thanks Sea Hunt, but the Typhoon senior is a very different boat inside. Same hull but not laid out as well. I'll watch for a CD25 for you and you watch for a CD22 for me. Be well.....

Yes, I knew that...a slip of the keyboard. Not even the same designer.

sorry, just kidding you. i see the diff in the 22 and TS. it seems to me the 22 is much like a 25. just less water line. have you looked at that?

No apology necessary. The CD25D was designed by Alberg, the CD 25 by George Stadel, if I'm not mistaken. The 25's are cool, but I think that the 22 is one of the prettiest boats that Cape Dory ever did.

I agree the 22 is an awesome boat. I just became, as SeaHunt says, "caretaker" of Evening Star in October.

Good luck
