Cape Dory 31 ro 33

Post by Jane Dickson »

Hi all, I'm looking to buy Cape Dory 31 or 33. I live in the Pacific Northwest south of Seattle. Wondering if there are any Cape Dory 31 or 33 owners around the Seattle area. Would love to look at one of these before going east. Great discussion board!

As you probably already know, there are relatively few 31's as it is, and far more Cape Dorys on the east coast. You can search the registry:

Good luck with your search.

Hi Jane-
Tom Keevil actively sails a 33 called Rover in the PNW. He might not check the f/s section of the Board so you might want to look him up.
Good luck,
Matt

We are not actively trying to sell Sweet Chance but a local broker has indicated he thinks he has an interested client. We are trying to decide if we want to move to a larger boat. Sweet Chance is a 1986 CD 330. Same hull as the CD 33, but has a bow sprit with a cutter rig, a slightly wider cabin, slightly taller mast and the T shaped cockpit. We keep it in Port Orchard. I am not sure we will decide to sell, but since you were asking about NW CD's I thought I would reply.

Here is a youtube clip of Sweet Chance http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDtqoajaNtE
