Sorry to say, the market for bedsheet quality sails has pretty much evaporated. The Portland sailing community filled up a 40' container with Sails for Haiti, ostensibly where they were used for temporary shelter just after the hurricane. (There but for the grace of God...)
Too many other companies will pay a few bucks for old sails, and turn them into bags and totes. www.seabags.com is a local place here, and will take your sails and return a bag as payment.
