Interested in hearing from CD25 owners who have made modifications to make saling alone easier & safer:
anyone tried lazy jacks, other systems for raising, lowering, or reefing the main, self-tending or club footed jibs?
roller furling? what seems to work best?

The equipment you mentioned will surely make singlhandling easier, but don't forget the CD25 is a very forgiving boat and singlehandles well even without these systems. IMHO first priority would be a jiffy reef system to replace the cumbersome roll-reefing of the main. Then... my suggestion would be to get out and sail her 'as is'. I'm a beginner (singlehandling 90% of the time) and this is what I did...After two seasons, I realized I didn't need a lot of the stuff that, at first, I thought I would. Go out alone on some fair wind days and experiment. There is some excellent advice in earlier post on singlehandling...very helpful! I've learned a lot from the advice of sailers on this message board. You can go to the search section on top of the message board, type in "singlehandling"...this will give you lost of info on equipment and 'technique'. Happy sails, bill
