Cape Dory Typhoon portlights

Post by tiger15 »

Hello all and Merry Christmas! I am a new participant. I am in the process of buying a Cape Dory Typhoon. It is a former sailing club boat and is pretty "rough". The glass or plexiglass in the portlights is missing. The portlight frames are bronze and appear to be threaded. Is there a threaded part that screws into the mounted frame? If so, where mignt I get one? Thank you.

Tom - Welcome to the Typhoon Support Network...its the best self-help, physical and mental therapy support group going. Along with help from the rest of the Cape Dory Family you'll be up and sailing in no time. So for consuling session 1 try Spartan Marine (http://www.spartanmarine.com/index.html) or Bristol Bronze (http://www.bristolbronze.com/) for the portlights. Hope this helps...
