Cleaning Curtains

What is the best way to clean curtains? Is the plastic liner heat resistance to withstand washing and drying? The dry cleaners would not take them because of the plastic clips. Can the curtains be spot cleaned? looking for advice. Finally - CD30MKII

Find another cleaner. Ours not only drycleaned the curtains, but charged us by the square footage not the piece count (much cheaper).

For the past 5 years I've been washing our CD32's original curtains in my washing machine using cold water and the gentle cycle. I then dry them in the drier on low. Remove them from the drier immediately, reshape them if they need it (especially the pleats) and lay them down flat. You can stack them on top of each other in a box until you are ready to rehang them.

Just sent in the curtains from CD30MKII 004 this week to Triple S, here in Norwalk. ( as well as all the cushions) Picking them up Tomorrow I'll let you know how they turn out. Very reasonable price All cushions cleaned and scocthgaurded and the curtains for about $220.00.
