Mine is very similar to one in the West Marine catalog: Garelick part number #10049. It hooks into mounting sockets attached to the deck, about midships. Works great.

The only thing to watch out for is that you seal the deck core when you mount the sockets. For each screw, drill a good sized hole (say 3/8"), fill with epoxy putty or thickened epoxy, then drill a small hole for the screw into the epoxy.
