Propane tank location

Sure Marine out of Seattle has the solution of us CD 28s for
a propane installation.

It is a "rail mount kit" (around $70.00) that you attach to a stanchion on the stern for a 1.4 gallon #6 Worthington propane bottle (around $150.00). I actually have three mounted on the stern, and have installed an extra stanchion in the middle of the rail using goodies from Tops and Quality, Inc. They even have a split device that mounts on the existing rail so that one can install a stanchion without cutting the existing railing.

If you do plan to install a complete propane system you are looking about $600.00. This includes LPG Control Kit, hose to fit, and all the goodies you need for a double set up. I have a propane stove as well as a Force 10 propane heater which really helps keep my wife happy in our cold spring and fall weather up here in the northwest!

To throw another element into this conversation: I have used fiberglass propane bottles for a few years now. They are 50% lighter, rust and corrosion free, and clear so you can see how much fuel is left inside. It's really a great thing if you are looking for a propane tank to use on the water.
