Hi...I'm looking for a 25-30 foot sailboat to sail in the St. Augustine, Florida area. Shoal draft is helpful in this area. I plan to use the boat mostly for weekend trips on the intracoastal and the ocean. I have about 7 years sailing experience (mostly on a Coronado 25). I have seen the Cape Dory's advertised in the local sailing magazines, and they look very nice. Any recommendations as to which Cape Dory would be best for me? And, for a used boat in good condition, is a $15,000 price range realistic?

Re: recommend a Cape Dory?
Try the 'Soundings' web page for a look at asking prices. You might be able to get a CD 25 for $12K - $15K. A CD 27 would pobably be closer to 20K and a CD 28 from 20 K all the way to 30K. Good luck. remember, a Cape Dory tends to hold value better than many other boats such as Catalina, Hunter, Endeeavor, etc.Dan Humbert wrote: Hi...I'm looking for a 25-30 foot sailboat to sail in the St. Augustine, Florida area.
