I'm looking for a new battery(s) for my Weekender. Got the usual stuff: running lights, masthead, steaming light, cabin lights. Possible VHF to be added later. What are you using? Gel or other? Two 6's or a 12? Is the forward location big enough or should they go under the cockpit? Thanks in advance. Robert

Re: Typhoon Battery
I just put a Trojan supergel 30 A-h battery in my typoon. I mounted it inside the cabin just in front of the mast support, but I have a very old boat with a different cabin layout. The advantage of the forward position was that it counters the weight of the engine on the stern. Will you charge off of the engine, take it home to recharge, or get solar. I am saving up for a panel for next season. Good luck, JH
