You should have already marked your calendar. Now it's time to seriously start thinking about it -- the Maine Cruise that is. It begins August 9th and is preceded by the Carver Cove Float-in on Vinalhaven on August 8th. If you can't stick around for the entire cruise, we'd love to see you at one or two of the destinations.
Don't forget! This year's Maine Cruise takes place during the week of August 9-13 in and around the scenic waters of Blue Hill Bay. If you plan to participate, even if only to meet up with the fleet in one harbor, we need to hear from you. How? By registering. Registration is FREE, easy and online. Why not register now!
And if you plan to meet the fleet at the pre-Maine Cruise float-in on Sunday, August 8th, at Carver Cove on Vinalhaven, we need to hear from you regarding that as well. So please register. Registration for the Carver Cove Float-in is also FREE, easy and online.

We are unhappy to report that Watermark II will not be able to attend the Maine Cruise as planned due to a blown head gasket and possibly other damage.
After trucking her 50 miles, stepping the masts and launching in Great Bay NH and stowing two weeks supplies we didn't make it out of the slip.

Bruce and I, along with Leo and Ruth, will be driving up to Mount Desert to meet up with the group on Friday at Abel's Lobster Pound (and possibly at Blue Hill on Thursday).

1. Head southwest on Main St toward Oak St/U.S. 1A W
2. Take the 1st left onto High St -- 1.0 mi
3. Continue onto ME-3 E/Bar Harbor Rd -- 8.4 mi
4. Continue onto ME-102 S/ME-198 S/Main St -- 1.9 mi
5. Turn left to stay on ME-102 S/ME-198 S/Main St -- 2.4 mi
6. Turn left at ME-198 S/ME-3 W -- 0.6 mi
7. Turn right at ME-198 S/ME-3 W/Sound Dr -- 0.2 mi
8. Turn left to stay on ME-198 S/ME-3 W/Sound Dr -- 1.0 mi
9. Turn right at Abel Ln. Destination will be on the left -- 144 ft
Here are some of the photos that Bruce snapped during this year's Maine Cruise. We rode up with the MacDonald's and joined the group at Blue Hill on Thursday and Somes Sound on Friday. I have to apologize to everybody in the photos because I can't remember most of your names. It's embarassing, but nothing I do seems to work. So I haven't included names in most of the captions. Sorry. Maybe some of you can help me caption the photos?
