What to do in New England
My wife and I plan to be in the New England area from Thursday the 2nd of September thru Monday the 6th. The reason for the trip has been cancelled so we plan to spend our time looking at sailboats. Any suggestions of places to go and look at boats for sale and would anyone know where there might be a CD45 to gawk at?

As far as I know there were only three 45's built. I chartered one Fiona Rose (spelling?) once from Johanson Boatworks now out of Rockland ME (then out of Camden ME). It was in charter off and on over the years with Johanson. I came accross it moored in Bass Harbor a few years back.

Fiona Rios
Rios is the Gaelic spelling of rose (at least that's what the owner told me). The owners of Fiona Rios joined us for portions of the 2009 Maine Cruise. They graciously hosted a pot-luck dinner aboard Fiona Rios. As a Cape Dory enthusiast, this was definitely on my "bucket list". When the owners aren't sailing her, she's in almost constant charter use. The chances of finding her in port aren't very good.
Despite the near constant use, she's in Bristol condition. Just for fun, I looked up her phrf rating. 129 racing division. 135 cruising division. Not bad at all!

I think she is out of Bass Harbor Maine. What kind of chartering does she do?

Bareboat. She is not listed on Johansen's website currently. You might want to check with them. They know the owner. Hinckley Yacht Charters is out of Southwest harbor close to Bass Harbor. You could check their listings.
This a link to Johanson's website with a mention of work done on Fiona Rois:

Where in New England will you be and will you have a car? Neat coastal towns that you might consider include Gloucester, Rockland, Rockport, Camden, Bath, Southwest Harbor and there are plenty of others. If you don't have a car, Concord Trailways runs bus service along the Maine coast which can get you to a lot of towns. It can also be fun to ride a ferry out to one of the islands.

We will have a car. We had plans in NYC so we are going to fly in and out of there. Since the plans have changed we will now be going to look at boats around Cape Cod and who know where from there.
Thanks
