Cape Dory 25 Anchors

Where have you stored anchors on your 25? Any ingenious solutions? Has anyone built an anchor platform? Which anchors do you use in your location? Thanks.

Jon,

I love my Bruce anchor. Actually it is the Chinese version (Bruce Lee by Simpson Lawrence). The only problem is that it is the most awkward and ungainly thing on earth to store on a boat. I keep 20' of chain above it, and it works on a short scope. It holds well on most bottom surfaces.

Just the opposite is my Danforth. It weighs nothing and sits in its hangers on the bow pulpit. It is best suited for sand or mud, but needs a faily large rode.

For now, the Bruce is stored down below. I'm working on some sort of an up front storage plan, but no ideas just yet. I just put in a nice hawser, so I really want to get the Bruce up in the bow somehow. If I come up with something I'll be sure to post it.
