Don,

A diamond in the rough for sure.

How could you guys pass this one up? A Typhoon and a British Seagull!

I would be thinking about it if I didn't have a backlog of projects several generations, not yet born, yet to get to, Steve.

To darn far away and I sold the Typhoon trailer with the last one. If it came with a trailer I might consider another project.

Got a bid in, already.

I need this like I need a root canal procedure.

Interesting name plate. Badged as an "Alberg Typhoon"

Lotsa mildew & mold below decks. I wonder how solid the cabin top and decks are?

Looks better than the last one I worked on. I just installed a bilge pump, put on a bathing suit and crawled inside with a pressure washer. When I came out everything looked much better. Waited for the insides to dry and went back in with a pump sprayer and a clorox solution. I followed that up with some oil based paint with a mildew inhibitor.

OJ I was kidding! I never realized the magnitude of your wonderful obsession. I hope you get it. It couldn't end up in more loving hands.

Nautical Root Canal

Post by Oswego John »

Dick,

Thanks for the kind words. To show my appreciation, I am going to publish some pictures of you, along with other members. They are of the sail-in of the GLF, which was held in Oswego several years ago.

This will be the first time anyone but myself has seen them. I came across them while searching for something else in my painstakingly accurate photo archives, neatly catalogued in my shoe box file cabinet. (Miracles never cease)

BTW: Please, pretty please, with brown sugar on it, hope that I DON'T get it. I have too much on my plate already. What with being on the committee for the Tall Ships rendezvous, welding new bottom plates on our schooner. I just finished an arduous campaign running for the School Board. Luckily, with my prayers being answered, I lost. Phew, that was a close one. In a moment of deliria, this mad, impetuous fool threw his hat into the ring with no consideration or regard to the ramifications if I were to have won.

So, not wanting to rust, I don't rest. I keep busy. My dance card ( betcha don't know what that means) is full.

Watch for the photos.
O J

Hmmm, I wonder maybe I should raise my bid a little? :D

OJ,
After the snow melts in Oswego, you could drive to Wantagh to preview--the other--RESPITE.

You could really spiff her up.
