This has absolutely nothing to do with Cape Dorys or sailing but I thought you might enjoy watching this video.

You have no idea how apropos this was as Liz and I just spent an hour looking for her keys that I had in my hand the day before.

I am not ruling out the moon, Steve.

NO MORE LOST BOAT

Post by Oswego John »

Heh, heh, I beat the system.

The last couple of years I have been having a problem trying to remember where I left the $%@*& boat. It was never where I thought it should be.

Because of a tip I received at the local senior citizens club, I painted the hull day-glow orange, painted the decks electric lime green and the cabin hot passion pink.

Now I don't lose it as often as before but it has paid off in a way I never thought of. Now, my boat is a super chick magnet.

Heavy on the Geritol :D

Unlike most boats, that simply remain seagull magnets.

PINK BOATS>>>>

Post by Michael Heintz »

Hey Neil,

Perhaps you should consider panting your your CD PINK.....There could be a twofold benifit......blinding color to distract the seagulls AND at the same time a "chick" magnet....

Your thoughts SIR !!!!!!

I'm thinking maybe just paint the toe rails, etc., pink and leave the white parts as is. Who needs all that pesky teak, anyway?

Can I still keep the blue dodger and sail cover?

Michael,

Since you've seen fit to lollygag this maintenance season away, totally neglecting your teak, maybe you should get a can of paint and paint all that beat up teak on Macht Nichts pink also. No need for going out and buying a heat gun and spending endless days scraping and cursing!

Chick Magnet

Post by Oswego John »

Neil,

Forget about the idea of painting Liquidity with hot, neon colors.

You didn't hear about this before. I kept this to myself because I didn't want to jeopardize your chances in the Boston Harbour Race.

I was going to enter along with other CDs, but two years in a row the committee wouldn't accept my application. They maintained that my boat was "Too Suggestive".......

.......and it was Banned In Boston. :D

Talk about discrimination. Sheesh.

How do you like dem apples?
