Re: Zinc
West Marine sells some sort of two part Perry Nut copycat unit but I've never used it.don S. wrote: Mysteries of the modern universe -- why is it the COMPLETE Perrynut assembly has to be replaced? The zinc is not sold separately! Sheesh!
I've only used Perry Nuts and have been using them for years. Divers like them because they are fast and easy to change unlike the West two part units. Check out their catalog for info.
Re: Zinc

West has zincs separately p. 216
West Marine sells the zincs separately. Look on page 216 in the bottom right hand corner of the 2000 catalog. The zinc portion is called an "anode" and sells for $ 12.99 for a one inch shaft. Word of warning though. Their brand is Electro Guard. If you have the original Perry Nut the zinc won't fit. In that case order from Perry directly or one of their distributors. Their addresses are in the BB archives.don S. wrote: Mysteries of the modern universe -- why is it the COMPLETE Perrynut assembly has to be replaced? The zinc is not sold separately! Sheesh!
