Does the 1GM water pump rotate clockwise or counter clockwise? While changing out, the existing impeller was oriented to rotate clockwise, but the shop manual shows ccw rotation?
I have a slight drip under the water pump, how can I tell if it is the weep hole? I understand leakage from the weep hole indicated bad seal and can contaminate engine oil? Please advise.
Has anyone changed out the Fram primary fuel filter with Racor 500? Any secrets on changing the mounting bracket? Thanks!

Mine does not drip at all.... This past fall I replaced my water pump and (from memory) I dont really see how a leak at the impeller could possibly contaminate the oil... But as I said, that was last fall and I dont have the manual handy. I dont even have a gasket between the pump and the timing gear cover and not a drop of oil or water leak out. I was having a very random overheating problem and at that time I too had a small drip at the impeller. COme to find out there was a pin hole in the water line. The operation manual also indicates the impeller rotates counter clockwise. I also had the water pump replaced this year. Leakage from the old one was dripping on and corroding the lube oil line. Don't know if it'll contaminate the lube oil.
