Does anyone know how to adjust the throttle cable on the Yanmar 1GM engine. The operating manual mentions a cable adjusting screw, but I don't see anything resembling that. I can only get about 2600 rpms out of the design 3600. The problem is definitely with the cable. I have the original Morse cable.

Is that a type 33 cable? If so you should see a small locking hex nut on a threaded stud on the cable end. Just loosen the nut and then make your adjustment on the linkage and retighten the nut.
