Jay,
Just to let you know, your information about the ty-wraps holding the aft head hose under the stove was correct. In that little length of hose there were three (3) ty-wraps securing it in there! Go figure! I think that is what they call a "gotcha" in boat maintenence.
I thought about how to break them all week, and here is what I did. First I got about an 18" piece of 1/4" threaded rod. I heated the end of it cherry red with a blow torch, pounded about 1" of the end flat with a sledge hammer(blacksmithing skills learned in high school came in handy!), then I split the "spade" end with a hack saw and opened the end to form a fork. Used a dremel tool to sharpen the inner edges of the fork, and headed to the boat with my ty-wrap cutting tool.
I removed the port water tank from under the settee, this gave me access to the bulkhead where the 1 1/2" hose went under the stove. Slid my little cutting tool in alongside the tubing, and popped the first ty-wrap with a lite hammer tap on the end of the cutter. Went after the second ty-wrap in the same manner, THIS was real easy!! The third wrap was to far in though, so I was off to the hardware store to get more threaded rod and a connector. Ran into another skipper on the way out of the yard, explained to him what I was doing and he said "hey, I think I have a 1/4" bolt that might work". It did, and the third ty-wrap was history. Once all three were cut, the %&*(&(& hose fell out of the boat!! Only question remaining is, "Why did CD do that in the first place??" What a pain! Hey, thanks again for your help, I appreciate it!

Re: Darn Good Idea Here...
Hi Dave,
A Darn good idea here! CD did a number of really silly things. Wait until you guys try to replace wiring from the breaker box back to the saloon area lighting! Holy smokes, what a poor way to do things. It's unrepairable without major surgery to the headliner!
Keep these innovations coming Dave. I like your spirit.
