Wow! What a prize. That's kinda like the goldfish my little boy won in a ping pong ball toss. I should have promptly flushed them down the toilet BEFORE setting them up in an ultra-luxurious tank, complete with filter, gravel, and proper pH, only to have them die.

You can keep the cat. In fact, I'll send you 35.00 AND my cat (she's spayed, so no worries about that fruitful and multiply business).

First Prize

Post by Oswego John »

Dave,

Keep your cat. Since you aren't using it, send the luxurious fish tank as well as the $35.00 and we'll call it an even-Steven deal. :D

Okay?

When I was a kid, I worked for my father. He gave me a tie bar (remember tie bars?) with the following: "YCNDBSOYA." A cheery sentiment from a father to his son. "You Can Not Do Business Sitting On Your A$$" Thanks Dad!

The Hat

I have a small confession John. That old picture of me in the hat and shades was NOT on a Cape Dory.

Wow, all this because I asked what bump meant. I wonder what would happen if I asked what a thole pin was, could it possibly lead to an never ending series of puns?

Sometimes the winds of life will blow you off your course, my friend,
But the wind is sure to veer, you must stay aboard and steer,

THOLEY SMOKE

Post by Oswego John »

Here's a golden oldie that has to be at least 75 years old.

Mutt: Say Jeff, did you hear the latest news?

Jeff: No. What happened?

Mutt: The church burned down.

Jeff: Holy smoke.

N.B.: For you youngsters. Mutt and Jeff were two characters long ago in the funny papers (when funny papers were funny). Sigh.

:D Hee hee. That's a knee slapper.
