We got a break in the weather here in Oregon so I thought I would get started installing a Harken mainsheet traveller system. I have been collecting the pieces through Ebay and other sources for two years now. First I had to disconnect the engine kill cable from the engine and remove the engine control panel:
<a href="http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t36/ ... C05039.jpg" target="_blank"><img width="540" src="http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t36/ ... 9.jpg"></a>
The next photo shows the engine panel removed:

Now we are removing the screws that hold to original track to the deck of Selah by reaching inside of the opening and having a assistant (pretty if you are lucky) unscrew the bolts:
<a href="http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t36/ ... C05041.jpg" target="_blank"><img width="540" src="http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t36/ ... 1.jpg"></a>
The last photo show the bolts that were near twice as long as they had to be, also there were just washers on the inside of the boat.

I have now taken the control panel housing and the teak strip that mounts the track to the boat to the shop to be stripped and varnished. I will update the forum when it is time to re-install.

Traveller Finished
I finally found time to finish the traveler. The car has plenty of clearance to the teak and I was able to connect the stock Cape Dory block to the traveler car. I hope to launch in the next couple of weeks, so I am busy with installing a solar vent ahead of the mast step and install new lifelines. Here are some photos of the completed project.

Harken Parts
I used the Harken 2721 High Beam track with and I believe it is the 2730 car. I used the high beam track (which I had bent to the curve of the deck) to clear the aft teak trim piece. Seems to work fine.
