Ahoy there,
I've left Charleston, SC and am now at anchor in Ft Pierce, where it is very windy/ gusty at the moment. I just created a blog today to keep people updated. Please feel free to follow my voyage south.

Ahoy Perry, glad you're having a big time on the water. Nothing like February in the north Atlantic for some adventure! Your open ended approach is smart and leaves you free to go anywhere. Also means you don't have to take chances with weather. Have fun and keep posting, we like to follow adventures.

Good luck with your trip..where are you sailing to?are you soloing?
I just helped deliver a boat from Jacksonville to Chas on the 15th
and just left ft Pierce helping a friend shape up his Catamaran..
the weather down there was chilly..there a several nice restaurants down there and the people are very friendly .it is a hard working community.

....a year and nine months later...
Alexandra and Perry completed a fabulous Caribbean trip! I recommend taking a look at the blog of Perry's adventures at http://sailingexpeditionalexandra.blogspot.com/
I bought Alexandra in Charleston, SC in mid September, and spent ten pleasant days bringing her up the IntraCoastal Waterway.
She's currently at the Atlantic Yacht Basin next to the Great Bridge lock in Chesapeake, VA. She's had all the bilge lines and the wind gen blades replaced, new roller furling lines and a new water pump installed, and is changing her hull color from white to AwlCraft Royal Blue.
Next week I'll bring her to her new home at the Mobjack Bay Marina, and henceforth she will be known as StarLady.
