I finally managed to remove Raven's prop. I have a feeling it hasn't been off since the boat was built. It took a custom puller, lots of PB Blaster, a month of tightening the crap out of the puller bolts then finally some mild heat and a light tapping to get the thing off.
With that behind me I don't want to ever have to repeat the process. What if anything should I put on the shaft taper when I reinstall the prop? Copper based anti-seize, grease or just polish and fit dry?
I should be able to find this information on my own but you guys are so good, Steve.
Prop anti-seize

Anhydrous Lanolin
Don't use Lan-O-Cote -- it's not the same stuff
A thin coating will do it

Fat from sheep's wool
Lano-O-Cote is 85 percent pure anhydrous lanoline according to the product safety sheet.

I use it on my prop, my wind vane, the turnbuckles, and any stainless-steel screwed into the aluminum mast or boom.
Cheers,
John V.
