Free roller furling

Post by fenixrises »

Hi all,

I have decided not to reuse the roller furling gear that came with my boat.

It is a Hood system, Mark II Sea Furl. It is an older system. It needs two new bearings for the furling drum and two new o-rings. The parts are standard off the shelf replacements. Hood no longer makes this system. It is otherwise in good condition, just needs a good clean up. I have a PDF of the installation manual.

I will give the system to anyone who wants it. You must pay any and all shipping costs unless you can pick it up here in FL.

The system is designed for a 5/16" head stay and is about 48' long as installed. The length could be reduced but not increased as no new extrusions are available. This system can only fit a larger boat. Possibly a 33 if you increase the headstay to 5/16" or a 36.

Contact me via PM or my e-mail is in my profile.

Take care,
Fred

You should always have an odd number of holes in your boat!
