My S2000DL Depth gauge has been very reliable, but recently the LCD display has been barely visible? Has anyone had this problem and either fixed or replaced the old Datamarine instruments?
Can you use the same transducers?

DMI repair and services Datamarine Instruments
You can send your instruments to http://www.dmimarine.com/ for evaluation and repair. They do a great job and without delay will see what's wrong, let you know and then repair your device. I've used them 3 or 4 times before and have been completely satisfied.
There's an online form you can download, fill it out and send it in with your instrument(s) at http://www.dmimarine.com/request_form.html.
Repair prices are very reasonable.

Depth Gauge
I have the same issue with my depth gauge.
I sent it to DMI and they were able to fix it at what I thought was a reasonable price. I just plugged the rebuilt unit in using the same wires and transducer and everything worked just fine.
Good Luck
