This will be an interesting and valuable addition to the CD site.
I recently returned from a month long sail from Cape Cod to Florida.
A few food items that worked well ; Allesso soups, dehydrated. Very good taste and hearty. I'm partial to the Tuscan White Bean, Pasta Fagioli, and the Lentil.
Zatranian's flavored rices. with the addition of fresh shrimp,(we netted are own in the Carolina's) and sausage the Jambaliya Mix was quite tasty.
Both the soup and rice are quick and easy to prepare.
This recipe takes less than 20 mins. and is good hot or cold.
Tonno con Farfale (italian tuna with pasta bow ties)
2 cans tonno packed in olive oil,
1lb. bow tie pasta,
juice 1 lemon,
fresh long leaf parsley chopped.
1 12oz. can olives - or fresh deli are superior, a few capers.
1/3 cup ev olive oil.
1/2 teasp. crushed red pepper (CRP) to your liking.
Cook the pasta al dente. In a fry pan add tonno , lemon juice, CRP, olives and oil. Stir and heat through till hot,a couple of mins.. When the pasta is ready drain and add tonno mixture with the parsley. Mix and enjoy with a pinot gregio or what you like.
