Toe Rail & Rub Rail Question

Post by sfreihofer »

In the restoration of my CD25, I am replacing toe rails and rub rails. Unfortunately, I didn't take specific notice of the installation when I dissembled it. I've been dissecting photographs but am unable to discern the detail.

I assume that there is an overlap between the rub rail and the toe rail, to provide continuity without gaps. My question is, which overlaps which? Is the toe rail over the rub rail, or is the rub rail over the toe rail? And, secondarily, how much do they overlap?

I'm hoping someone here will share the answers with me. You have my gratitude in advance.

Go back to the maim page: CDSOA
Click: Where to look
Scroll down to: Groups and Publications
Select: On Line Cape Dory Manual

Thanks Dick. I feel like a doofus for not checking there first. I appreciate your kindness.
