The foot pump in the galley of our CD30 has stopped pumping. As far as we know it is original to the boat, but the link on this sight to the manufacturer has no foot pumps listed or repair parts. Does anyone know of a source for a rebuild kit.
Thanks

Whale Gusher Galley Maybe?
Just a guess but the Whale Gusher Galley was/is a popular foot pump. There have been a few versions so make sure you get the correct service kit.
It looks like this:
Defender (thanks for the picture) sells replacement pumps and service kits:

Hamilton and West Marine also have pumps and kits:

Great Info
Awesome... just what the doctor ordered. I also recently discovered that my pump was seizing/leaking and was about to put this on the to do list for the winter.
Thanks for the info!

I think you will find it is a Whale galley gusher II. I rebuilt mine a couple of years ago but didn't do such a great job as it leaked slightly when I was finished. We had the original arrangement where it could be used instead of the pressure pump.
This summer I plumbed it into the salt water pick up for the engine. We are careful to keep a valve closed when running the engine but still I didn't want to take any chances sucking air when the engine was running, due to a leaking pump. I changed out the original pump for a Whale galley gusher III. One of the benefits is that I was able to do away with the mild steel bracket as the new pump has additional mounting holes.
There really isn't that much price difference between rebuilding and buying a new pump, Steve.
