Looking for a Dodger / Bimini

Post by SwiftRanger »

Hello there,

I am new to posting on this board but have been a long time reader. I was wondering if anyone can help direct me in purchasing a Dodger and Bimini? I would like to find these used but I know that will be a difficult so I might as well start pricing new ones.

Does anyone have any canvas companies they prefer?

I'm on a very limited budget but I don't want to go cheap. Any advice would be great.

Thanks!

Patrick

Where are you located? It's easiest to use local companies.

Anyway, we have an Island Nautical dodger and like it. They are located at City Island, NY.

Thanks for the quick reply, we are located in the Chesapeake area. Currently we are out of Baltimore but we will soon be moving to Eastport - fingers crossed. The company you mentioned seems great; price wise at least.

Thanks for the info, maybe they have completed a few dodgers and biminis for CD-30's and we wont need to have them measured.

Island Nautical

For what is worth, we had purchased an Island Nautical dodger for our little Cape Dory 22. It was beautiful, easy to install and cost less than what we could get locally. Good luck.

Patrick,
I am selling my CD 36 Dodger and integrated bimini. It is in good shape. CD brown. Can't tell you about the size. Perhaps it could be modified. Let me know if you are interested.

Thanks to everyone's help, it seems we have a pretty good idea of where to shop and what to get.

And Will, I just sent you a pm... you are doing us a huge favor! Hopfully we'll see you all out on the water this upcoming season.

Thanks again,

-Patrick
