marine starting batteries vs. automotive starting batteries
Last year my starting battery went ka-put. I am currently in the process of replacing it with a group 27 starting battery (a little more reserve capacity than the old battery). Are there any significant differences between a Marine starting battery and an Automotive starting battery ?

The Difference
The difference between a "marine" and an "automotive" starting
battery is the label.
I started up the factory that manufactures porous polymeric battery separators some years ago.
It is interesting that this new technology envelopes the plate, so the
plate can shed till the cows come home and will not short out to an adjacent plate, which would kill the battery.
That is why high end battery s last so long.
