Help!..I need a stainless steel forestay for my Typhoon

Post by Leah O'Neill »

Help. I need a stainless steel forestay for my Cape Dory Typhoon Weekender. It must be 1/8 inch by 20"8". I had a new jib made and need to attach it to a new forestay. The roller reefing is not any good. Where can I get a forestay? I am in Ireland but have access to Connecticut for purchase or shipping. Really am in need. Thanks for any help. The boat was built in about 1976ish. Thanks, Leah O'Neill

But wouldn't it be easier to just have someone make it up locally?

you can get two of these, or if you need a turnbuckle, one with a turnbuckle/toggle.

Get the wire locally, and you'll be up and running in 30 minutes flat.
