Ahoy,
Can anyone recommend a surveyor close to P'town?
Thanks!
May also be looking for a boat hauler and recommendations for that would also be helpful. (Provincetown to Lake Champlain)

Brownell for hauling. This is a busy time of year for
them so I'm not sure how much availability they have.

Surveyors are busy, too
Hi VtSailor:
I've had good luck with Norm LeBlanc as a surveyor.
Be warned, Norm sent me an e-mail about a month ago, saying that he's been swamped with requests for surveys, because this is a real buyer's market for used boats. I suspect every surveyor is, ahem, in the same boat.

Capt. Rob Scanlon out of Nahant, Ma. He is on Cape Cod often and is very professional. He's done 3 boats for me.

Ahoy
Ahoy fellow Vermonter,
You don't state what size boat you are considering. I would purchase a trailer if it is a 25 because then you have something to store it on in the winter. The boat yard charges for jack stands, so the trailer will pay for itself. Plus it allows you to indulge in the fantasy of driving your boat to Maine one summer and launching it there for a couple of weeks.
Also, you may want to consider sailing it home. I would be happy to assist you with details. I have done the trip and it is enjoyable. Or, as another option, I might be able to deliver it for you.
You list charlotte as your home port. I keep my boat "Dolphins" in Point Bay Marina.
